Books

The following free online books are very useful:

• The Handbook of Applied Cryptography is a huge compilation of cryptographic information.
• For the real tough amongst you, Shafi Goldwasser and Mihir Bellare have compiled a huge script on provable cryptography.
• Ross Anderson's book on Security Engineering discusses various aspects of practical IT security, and in particular how it failed in the past.
• Victor Shoup wrote A Computational Introduction to Number Theory, making a valuable text book for some of the most frequently used mathematics in cryptography.
• Jörg Arndt compiled a gigantic online book on Algorithms for Programmers which contains lots of advanced algorithms as well as C++ programming tricks that are often neglected by standard textbooks on algorithms.

For Cryptography Researchers

• IACR is the International Association for Cryptologic Research. On their pages, you find conferences, job offers and more.
• This page gives a list of calls for papers and journals that are related to cryptography.
• The Cryptology E-Print Archive gives you a selection of brand new research results. Papers submitted here have not been refereed in any way, so you'll never know what you get.
